I am pleased, in conjunction with Beacon Hill Athletic Club, to be presenting three workshops this winter, for a ridiculously affordable price. If you have been thinking about building your practice up, these are for you. I hope you will join me there!

Workshops are $10 for BHAC members, $20 for non-members. Workshops are at Beacon Hill Athletic Club, Cleveland Circle, 1686 Commonwealth Ave, by the Green B Line.

January 25, 1pm: Take One Step:

Fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga

Have you wanted to try yoga, but aren't sure how to start? Do you like yoga, but struggle in a fast-moving class? Do you want to get more out of your classes? Have you just wondered if you're doing poses "right"? Then this workshop is for you!

In the workshop, we will

- break down Sun Salutations and key poses
- explore alignment principals that inform every pose
- improve your practice, and answer your questions
- have fun!

This class is open to students at all levels of yoga practice. Beginners are especially encouraged to come. The room will be heated, but not as hot as we typically do at BHAC. There will also be some group and partner work involved- sometimes the best way to see your own practice is by looking at it from the outside in.

Sunday, March 8, 1pm: Roots and Wings:

Inversions and Arm Balances

Being upside-down and flying on your hands can be one of the most exciting parts of a yoga practice. It can also be the most daunting. In this workshop, we will explore the mechanics of these beautiful poses, and make them more accessible to you!

We will prepare and explore:

- Crow
- side crow
- headstand
- handstand and more!

At least six months of yoga, and a working knowledge of crow is strongly encouraged for this workshop. The room will be heated, but not to normal class levels. There will be some partner work involved.
